Do you truly know who you are? You are fantastic. I know that you know that already, but I just want to keep reminding you for the next 50
years...If that's Okay...and if it's not, I will do it anyhow! Hello!
You are incredible...and I know it. Okay, we will attempt to limit our
conversation this evening to about 30 mins. Is that a deal? My little
heart won't like it, but I have already told my tender heart that "Karen
will make up for it when she arrives. She will think of something...I don't know what...But she will make it worth whatever sacrifices that we have had to make...because she loves me and my little tender heart. And she truly knows by now that I love her!"

So, how is your day in the medical field going so far? I went to chapel and Sun School...also had communion...could not keep my mind on the sermon. Why? I don't think you have to ask why? You already know why! I prayed for forgiveness before taking communion. God knows where I am in life. He loves me unconditionally as He does you. We are His children.

If you are going to "doubt" anything, doubt your doubts. Fear is False Effects Appearing Real. They are not real. They only appear to be real. When you have a negative thought about us, erase it. Replace it with a positive thought.

For example, suppose the following thought comes into your brilliant artistic mind: "Tommy doesn't love me. He is only infatuated with me. Why should I believe him?"

Tell your mind this: "No, that is not true. I know he loves me because he tells me 15 times a day in e-mails, telephone calls, and cards thru the mail. I know he loves me because my heart tells me he does. His voice tells me he loves me. Therefore, negative thought...get out of my mind. Go somewhere else. I love Tommy and he loves me. Period!"

I am so glad that you were kidding. Perhaps, with all the things going on in my life...two weddings for my children, Tony in the combat zone, meeting the dream of my life (that would be you)...Perhaps, my male ego is a little fragile right now.

Think about this for a moment: In the past, I did everything I could to bring happiness to my family. I provided everything for their comfort. I actually "spoiled" them...because that's just the way I am. So Darling, I apologize if my ego seems a little fragile…because it probably is at this time...if you get my drift.

With my "A" Type personality, I am a "pleaser". I want to please people,
especially those whom I love. The problem is: You can't please everybody.

Therefore, I have accepted more balance into my life. My philosophy now is... "SWSWSW"! Some will. Some won't. So what!

Some will accept my generosity. Some will accept my love. Some will accept my talents and abilities. Some will accept my advice. Some will accept my frailties, insecurities, and flaws. Some won't. So what. It does not change the real person that I am. I like me. My family loves me. I believe you love me. In my heart, I know you do!

My Dearest Karen,
As you are there in Florida and I here in Virginia, let us try not to be sad. Your presence with me, I dearly miss, but you will be with me soon! As the Irish say, "May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and may the rains fall soft upon your fields. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand." You are always on my mind and never far from my heart!

Our journey through life together still has far to go. We have seen many forks in the road. Our paths will join once again in a few days. Know this...even though you can NOT feel me next to you, I am in your heart and you in mine. When you are not with me, the days pass so slowly. Know this...You are of great importance to me!

You are a woman of Australian descent. Your mother was a delicate, yet strong and graceful lady...as you are. By the time you read this letter, we will have been together for about short 14 months. It seems like only yesterday when I first looked into your refreshing emerald green eyes! I miss you everyday. I have never missed anyone like I miss you. Your return is greatly anticipated.

I re-read your cards. I try to remember the smell of your aromatic perfume. If you only knew what I am feeling at this moment...! My heart expands when I think of you! I can assure you my dearest Karen...you have not been out of my thoughts...hardly for a minute since you left on that jet airplane a few days ago! Hopefully, you know how much I love you...how I long to see you...pray for you...how much I will sacrifice (if need be) to marry you...to live with you forever after! FOCUS

FOCUS

We can get what we want out of life on a consistent basis. We can feel great any time of day. We can change frustration or disappointment into personal power and then make the best of the situation. How? It is called "focus".

We can change how we feel…and be happy, joyful, and even energetic! We can have better relationships, more money, and a better quality of life. How? We must truly have a desire to be happy, feel better, and want the positive change that will bring these kinds of things. Therefore, we must change how we feel about certain elements, things, and even certain people. No, this is NOT easy! But we can do it!

Once, we make up our minds to change for the better, incredible things begin to fall into place. We begin to change our mental focus. We begin to pay attention to our words, our thoughts, our present state, and our future. Sometimes, radical change may be the answer. We can take charge of our own lives and create the type of feelings and passion that we truly want in life. How? By our emotions! You see, emotion is created by motion. We create our emotions and feelings by motion…by what we do with our bodies and minds…our movements, thoughts, and even our gestures.

We are responsible for our own state of mind and our enthusiastic lives. Once we realize that we have this power over our own lives, we begin to understand and see the light. We begin to use this ability. We begin to "take charge" and have more fun, joy, passion, and energy than we have ever dreamed.

Sometimes, it is just a matter of "smiling". You heard right. Smile! We need to change our facial expressions at times. Have you ever felt depressed while smiling? Practice smiling for ten minutes a day. Go ahead. Try it. You'll like it. You will feel great…simply by smiling. Facial expressions of frowns or frustration create negative emotions in our bodies. Control your face and you will control your state of mind. Just try it.

Believe it or not, you are a very powerful person. You can change the way you feel by talking or believing in something that really inspires you. Sometimes, this may be talking to another person or even talking to yourself. I give myself a "pep talk" quite frequently. I think it is necessary when you work for the State or US Government!

Now, we get back to "focus" again. What we focus on determines how we feel! How we feel determines how we behave. How we behave determines our success. When I feel lousy, I do not fare too well at what I am trying to accomplish. Therefore, I must focus on the desired results. People who are successful are people who control their focus.

In conclusion, think positively. Smile a LOT. Cheer others on to success. Work as a team Player. Feel good about yourself. You are the only you. You are a very special creation that is unique, powerful, kind, worthy of success, warm, and considerate of others. You are a person of bountiful dignity and great value. No one can take this away from you. You deserve the very best in life! Continue to focus!
